News: Tragic loss of Rom Wandera

23rd January 2012

It is with great sadness we received the news that on Sunday January 22nd Rom Wandera had unexpectedly died.

Rom was responsible for the vision that enabled the clinic to be built and has been unstinting in his support for us since that time, we have often commented that it would be difficult to run the clinic without him, however we are determined that the work at Buburi will continue to honour Rom’s memory. Rom leaves his wife Connie and 4 children but also many other young people that he has nurtured and cared for and been a mentor to.
