Fundraising

14th October 2015

This is a thorny issue for any charity, but it is how we at Friends of Buburi get the money to support the work at the clinic, so it is vital. We are lucky that so many supporters are prepared to put themselves out to help. Running full and half marathons, tough mudder, three peaks, 24 hr walking challenges and cycle rides are some of the activities that people are prepared to do to raise the necessary money and we are so grateful to you. Over the past few years we have also run quiz nights, lunches, barn dances, Christmas markets, concerts, cream teas, cheese and wine evenings and also various talks. As you can imagine this takes up a huge amount of energy and time but apart from the funds, it also raises the profile of our charity and the work we do. If anyone has any ideas for future fundraising challenges then please feel free to contact us. What we achieve in a year never fails to surprise us but we wouldn’t be able to do any of it without your support, so Thank You.
