It is a challenge for us to get pads to the girls. We cannot rely on post or couriers as they are prohibitively expensive and often do not reach their destination. So the pads are taken as luggage when we or a partner visits Kenya. This is also our preferred option as we then know that the pads are handed directly to the girls most in need. However it means that we cannot deliver as many as we would like.
We are always looking for other great options to get the pads into the hands of the girls so if you have any ideas, please get in touch.
We only collect pads when we have a visit planned so please email us before you make your pads to see if we are collecting and to get the address of where to send them to.
Here are patterns for how to make a sanitary pad and a post part partum pad (these are given to women who have recently given birth).
There is also a video to give you some further help. Your pads do not need to be these exact ones, but we do ask that they are soft, absorbent, have a waterproof back and are of course, washable.
