We’re a small charity with four Trustees – Gilly, Mark, Sallie and Rachel and a very supportive volunteer friend – Ruth. Together, we do everything from finding partners we can work with in Kenya, supporting and working with them to deliver the projects, to fundraising, communications and writing this newsletter, to name a few… We love what we do because we’re fully hands on and can see the direct impact of our efforts improving the lives of girls and women in rural Kenya. You can read more about us here

When we started this project a few years ago, we knew there was a basic need for period pads but little did we know how much of a difference they would make to a girl’s life. Hence the name, Power Of Pads, because each pad does have the power to be transformative, unlocking educational opportunities and career options, empowering girls, women and therefore communities. It’s really humbling to be a part of this and there is a great deal of satisfaction to be gained from the difference our efforts make.

So, are you interested in being a part of our small team? If you have skills, knowledge or expertise that you think would be helpful and you’d like to be involved, please do get in touch. You can test us out, see if we’re the right fit and become a supportive friend, and then if you want to take it further, there is the opportunity to become a Trustee. It would be great to have you on board, so we look forward to hearing from you.
